Dr. Kulbir Gojra

Kulbir Gojra is a distinguished scholar and professor specializing in Punjabi literature. He serves as a Professor in the Department of Punjabi at the University of Delhi .​

Dr. Gojra earned his Ph.D. in Punjabi from Punjabi University, Patiala, in 2004. His doctoral research focused on "Samkaali Punjabi Kavita da Uttar-Adhunik Peripekh (1980–2000)," exploring contemporary Punjabi poetry through a postmodern lens . He also completed his M.A. (Hons.) in Punjabi from the same university in 1998.

he was hosted by Ghazal Manch Surrey in their office on July 12, 2019. It was a pleasure meeting him and it was insightful to hear about the various genre of drama.

Dr. Sahib Singh

Dr. Sahib Singh, a very famous playwright from Punjab. While performing his plays in Canada, he was hosted by Ghazal Manch Surrey in their office. It was a pleasure meeting him and it was insightful to hear about the various genre of drama.

Darshan Buttar
Darshan Buttar is the President of Punjabi Kendriya Lekhari Sabha Punjab. He is a Shiromani Kavi of Punjabi and a winner of the Bharatiya Sahitya Akademi Award. In November 2023, he was hosted by Ghazal Manch Surrey in their office. Darshan Buttar ji recited his poetry, and we were thankful for this opportunity. 

Vijay Dhami

Vijay Dhami is a very talented Punjabi lyricist. He has written hundreds of popular punjabi songs that have been sung by professional singers. Ghazal Manch Surrey hosted Vijay in their office and it was pleasure to hear his passion for writing songs.

Prabhjot  Sohi

Prabhjot Sohi is a well-known Punjabi poet and lyricist. Prabhjot is a teacher by profession. Ghazal Manch Surrey hosted Prabhjot in their office and he recited his poetry. It is refreshing hearing the connection to punjabi literature. 

Santhokh Minhas

Recently, Santokh Minhas came to Surrey from California. While Santokh Minhas is a very wise journalist, he is also a very serious poet. He has a place of his own in open poetry of Punjabi. His presentation makes his poetry even more beautiful.

Pal Dhillon
Paul Dhillon is a well-known ghazalgo of Punjabi living in Vernon B.C. More than seven books of his ghazals have come out. few months ago he showed up in the office of Ghazal Manch, He discussed a lot of technique of Ghazals and arooz

Kulwinder Khera

Kulwinder Khera is a well known Ghazal and play writer from toronto. His plays are very popular across canada. He has published two of his Ghazal books. In Aug 2023 He came to Vancouver and attended Ghazal manch's meeting. Lot of stuff discussed.

Paramjit Deol

May 2023, Ghazal Manch Surrey hosted Paramjit Deol in their Ghazal Manch Office. Paramjit is a successful Nazm writer and she is now established ghazal writer as well. Ghazal Manch Surrey published Paramjit’s book “Koonja dhe Roobru”. Dr. Farid, professor of Farsi, from University of Lahore, Pakistan visited the Ghazal Manch Surrey office on the same day. Dr Farid discussed literature at length and he commended Ghazal Manch Surrey.

Kanwal Jagraon
On December 2022, poet Kanwal Jagraon from California visited Ghazal Manch Surrey. Punjabi literature discussed thoroughly 

Gurdial Roshan

On October 2022, renowned poet and mentor Gurdial Roshan was hosted by Ghazal Manch Surrey. The history and the future of Punjabi literature was discussed at length.

Guests From Australia

October 2022, four poetry writers from Australia visited Ghazal Manch Surrey: Sarbjit Sohi, Bikar Bahi, Paul Rauke, and Surjit Sandhu. It was pleasure to listen to all of them recite their poetry.

Aman C. Singh And  Ajmer Rode
Popular poet Mrs. Aman C Singh and Poet Ajmer Rode were honored guests of Ghazal Manch Surrey. Both poets recited their poetry and they shared their lifelong love of poetry.

Surinder Kelley
It was a pleasure for Ghazal Manch Surrey team to host Writer Surinder Kelley. He shared his love of publishing his mini magazine for the last 50 years and he commended Ghazal Manch team on their success of establishing a successful organization.

Amrit Diwana And Lakha Sidhwan
Poet Amrit Diwana and Lakha Sidhwan were both hosted by Ghazal Manch Surrey. Both poets recited their poetry.

Navpreet Randhawa And Meenu Bawa

Ghazal Poet Navpreet Randhawa from Calgary and Singer Meenu Bawa from Surrey were hosted by Ghazal Manch Surrey team. Navpreet recited her beautiful ghazal poetry and Meenu sang an Urdu ghazal.

Rajdeep Toor

Ghazal poet Rajdeep Toor from Punjab was hosted by Ghazal Manch Surrey team, and he recited his poetry. Further discussions took place in regard to poetry organizations.

Bhupinder Dulay

Ghazal Poet Bhupinder Dulay from Toronto visited the Ghazal Manch team and he shared his contributions to ghazal poetry. It was a pleasure listening to his poetry in our office.

Harjinder Kang
Ghazal Poet Harjinder Kang from California visited the Ghazal Manch Surrey office. It was a pleasure hosting him and listening to his poetry.

Dr. Gopal Buttar

Dr. Gopal Buttar and his wife Kulwinder Buttar visited Ghazal Manch office. Dr. Buttar is a retired, and he is the the head of the department of  Khalasa college Jalandhar Punjab. He is a Punjabi poet and a recognized scholar.

Once again in Nov 2023, Ghazal Poet Bhupinder Dulay from Toronto visited Ghazal manch Office.

Navroop Singh
In November 2023, Mr. Navrup from Abbotsford B.C.  was honored by Ghazal Manch Surrey for his support in Ghazal manch's Annual Program.  In addition, Dr. Virk and Dr. Buttar visited the Ghazal Manch office.

In September 2019, famous Ghazal poet Kulwinder and famous Punjabi singer Sukhdev Sahil visited Ghazal Manch office.

Advocate Hakam Singh
Advocate Hakam Singh from Punjab visited Ghazal Manch office. It was a pleasure hosting him and listening his experiences of life.

Poet Satish Bassi
On March 16, 2024, from the city of Ludhiana in Punjab, Satish Bassi Ji, the founder of the Kavilok organization, came to the courtyard of the Ghazal Manch. He writes in both Urdu and Punjabi languages. There were extensive discussions with him about literature and the genre of Ghazal. Following this, he shared many of his compositions. Members of the Ghazal Manch also shared their works. 

Artists  Dr. Randeep Malhotra and Parakhjeet Singh
On May, 11 2024, Randeep Malhotra and Parakhjit Singh, two very melodious singers living in Surrey, came to Ghazal Manch office. On this occasion, flowers of devotion were presented to Late Surjit Patar Sahib, while the guests sung beautiful ghazals.

Novelist Pargat Satauj From India
On June 14th, 2024, renowned Punjabi novelist Pargat Satauj was honored at the City of Surrey in collaboration by 'Vancouver Vichar Manch' and 'Ghazal Manch Surrey'. In addition, a small function was arranged at the Jarnail Art Gallery, therefore, local literary folks had the opportunity to attend and to interact with him at Jarnail Art Gallery.

Ghazalgo Roop Sidhu from Dubai
On June 15th, 2024, renowned Punjabi ghazalgo  Roop Sidhu from Dubai was honored at 'Ghazal Manch Surrey's Office. Lucky Sandhu, Veet Badshshpuri and Bhupinder Malhi were also present at the meeting

On June 22th, 2024, renowned Punjabi Ghazal Singer from India and a Ghazalgo Gurdip Lopon from India were honored at 'Ghazal Manch Surrey's Office. Lavpreet Sandhu, and Bhupinder Malhi were also present at the meeting
